It’s About Quality – Not Quantity
Take a walk through Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club and you can’t help noticing that Scott and Steve Dingle’s footprints are everywhere.
The brothers, who together form SRD Building Corp., have been creating some of the ﬁnest homes in the neighborhood for more than a decade and are probably the most proliﬁc of the modern builders in the community.
And while they have built an estimated 40 homes in the neighborhood since 1993, it is quality, not quantity, that the Dingles are proudest of.
Over the years, the luxury homes they’ve built in Royal Palm have helped set a standard that others strive for and they have used integrity and a sense of community as their foundation.
“We take a lot of pride in helping to develop and grow the community,” says Scott Dingle, the older of the two, who grew up in the area. “We enjoy working in a neighborhood where we know so many people.”
Since starting out with a combination of remodeling and custom home projects, SRD has earned a strong following in Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club through word of mouth and a commitment to customers that is the cornerstone of the company’s reputation.
“We always try to exceed the expectations of our customers,” Scott Dingle says, “whether it’s with price, quality or schedule.”
Built into that approach is a ﬁrm understanding of the importance of putting the best interests of the customers ﬁrst – and dealing with them honestly. That, he says, will always pay dividends in the long run.
“All of our customers have become our friends,” Steve adds. “That’s what has really helped us grow our business in Royal Palm.”

With Royal Palm as the site of about 80 percent of the homes SRD builds, it’s no wonder that the company usually has between ﬁve and seven projects in the works at any given time.
Each of the projects is overseen by the SRD team which utilizes contractors who have been working with the Dingles for many years.
“We’ve built a team that’s very quality oriented,” Steve Dingle says. “They all know what they are supposed to do and how to do it.”
Currently completed, is a waterfront property on Key Palm Road with over 10,000 sq. ft. and a $7.75 million price tag.

“It’s a part of the home where people spend a lot of time,” Dingle says. “It needs to be large to accommodate today’s casual living style.”
Practicality and efficiency are also important in an SRD home. The company using the latest high-efficiency air conditioning system along with Icynene insulation, which helps to reduce moisture and lower utility costs.
Most of the SRD homes also feature large covered outdoor spacious areas and summer rooms, and those on the water also feature concrete decks with tumbled marble stone that terraces down toward the dock area.

Charm in a home is important to the Dingle brothers, who got their early building experience helping their father ﬁrst remodel a house in the Keys and later helping him build a home from the ground up.
